Charter Bus Service 2011

This is a new system and all bus seats must be booked online. See instructions at the foot of this page.

Costs (GST included) for 2011 are:

  • Morning travel only (A.M.) $130 per school term

  • Afternoon travel only (P.M.) $130 per school term

  • Both ways – A.M. & P.M. (Return) – $250  please ensure you mark the $10 discount button on the electronic booking form

Payment

Payment is to be made by the dates indicated on the website. 
You will need a credit card to pay, and access to a printer to print out the ticket

(Term 2 tickets - between 1 April  and 27 April 2011)

Tickets

Tickets are available online once payment has been made and are not transferable.

  • Students are not permitted to use the bus service unless they hold a current Ticket
  • Staff supervising the buses will ask students to produce their ticket before they are allowed to board the bus

Numbers permitted on buses

  • Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Bus Company guidelines limit the amount of students to the number of seats available per bus. Overloading of buses is not permitted for the safety of all passengers.

Behaviour of students using the bus

  • Students are expected to follow the Wellington Secondary College Student Code of Conduct. They are expected to follow the instructions given by the bus driver at all times. Failure to do so will be managed in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and may result in students no longer being permitted to use the bus service.

College responsibility

  • Wet Day Timetable – The College will contact the Bus Company to request an earlier departure time.
  • If for any reason a particular bus is unable to complete its journey the College will endeavour to contact families and advise of alternate arrangements for  the student to travel home safely
  • If student property is lost on the buses, the College will contact Victorian Touring Coaches and seek the recovery of the property. Alternatively if student property is found by Victorian Touring Coaches the College will endeavour to return the item to its rightful owner. 

Payments for Term 2 tickets commence 1st April and close 27th April 2011.

Using the Online Booking System:

1. Please view the bus routes and determine the correct bus and pickup / drop off location
2.  Click continue Booking.  You will need to select the Bus service AM / PM that you require.

If you need both services, please select AM first and then when you reach the shopping cart select "continue shopping' and then select your PM service.  If you are using the AM and PM service, please ensure you select the AM Return ticket on your AM service.

3.  In quantity please tell us how many students will be using this service, continue Booking
4.  You will now need to tell us the names of the students using this service and your preferred pick up / drop off location.

5.  Check your shopping cart and then click Checkout and enter your details and credit card number.
6.  You will now receive a confirmation of your booking and a ticket(s) which the student MUST print off and bring and display when entering the bus.
