Compassionate Care through MusicWHAT: Peter Roberts, Australia’s only music
thanatologist, demonstrates how his training in prescriptive harp music can
help in supporting terminally ill patients & premature
babies. Essential to this offering is the attitude of compassion & an
attentive, loving presence brought to the bedside during playing. Musical
sessions usually culminate in deep comforting silence. Emeritus Professor Helen
Cox will present her observations & the measured outcomes of her research
into the effect of Peter's music.
