Tama Ma and Twisting the Straight Line

WHAT: Tama Ma is Okareka's (NZ) newest work - a five act performance, it is the autobiographical journey of two people who travel from boyhood to manhood, to become teachers and dancers. A mix of music, vocals, film and raw human dance. Supported by Claudi Alessi and Alexandra Harrison in Twisting the Straight Line; Two women, one recently single, the other sometimes pregnant, stand before the last post. The paddocks are dry and the horizon is long.  You can’t always get what you want. What happens when you don’t even get what you need? When is enough, enough?  What does it take to bowl a maiden over?
