Measuring Up Assessing your ICT needs Community sector organisations are no longer technophobes; nowadays they regard information and communications technology (ICT) as part of their basic organisational infrastructure, as essential as the telephones, filing cabinets, and skilled staff they have always valued.
But moving into the digital age can be challenging for organisations with limited resources and technical expertise. We may know what we need to be able to do, but not what we need to be able to do it.
An ICT audit or health check can bring an expert eye to your system and indicate what needs to change to support your future goals and needs. In this seminar we will learn about different approaches to ICT needs assessments and how to choose the appropriate one for you.
PRESENTERS Larry Stillman, Stefanie Kethers and Rebecca French (Centre for Community Networking Research, Monash University) Larry, Stefanie and Rebecca will describe the action research approach that has been used successfully in the Doing IT Better case studies over the last two years. Jason King (Infoxchange) Jason will discuss the ICT audit methodology that is currently being used in the Infoxchange's MeasureIT project. He will also discuss some online tools that can help you undertake a self-audit.
