Bottesford Easter Egg Trail 2026!
About
Welcome to the Bottesford Easter Egg Trail 2026! Join us for a fun-filled day exploring the biblical story of Easter from the Garden of Eden to the joy of Jesus' resurrection, as you make your way around our trail in the village of Bottesford, Leics.**New to our interactive trail this year is our partnership with Riverview Reptiles to offer each child the opportunity to stroke and handle a variety of snakes!**
In addition to the snakes, the trail will include sugared apple toasting on a fire, wooden stars to colour, the return of the wonderful miniature donkeys for cuddles and grooming, a clay heart to decorate with flowers and leaves, hot cross buns to nibble and baby chicks to stroke and hold (subject to successful hatchings!). Each child particpating in the trail also gets a chocolate Easter egg (approx 90g) - Free from versions available, please book a special diet ticket and email windmillbottesford@gmail.com with details of your child's intolerance/allergy.
At each stop of the trail, your child will also be collecting an item they'll need to make a 10 inch Easter wreath, using moss and foliage, back at the Village Hall at the end of the trail, which they can take home with them.
When you've finished the trail, head back to Bottesford Village Hall for your child to make their Easter wreath, collect their chocolate egg and enjoy our yummy refreshments*, stalls*, facepainting* and glitter tattoos*
(*extra charges apply)
Please purchase a ticket for each child you wish to take part in the trail and trail activities. Accompanying adults and babies are free.
Trails are £10 per child (+processing fee) and include all the activities on our interactive trail, a chocolate egg and an Easter wreath for each child to take home.
