Help collect, assemble and deliver care packs to those in need!
Care2Give is an opportunity for families and children to “give back” to those in need in our community. Deliveries will be in METRO - SYDNEY, the Northern and Western Sydney. We do our best to find locations which are close to your suburb, however please appreciate that this is not always where the need is.
Please IGNORE SESSION DATES - Can be done when suits you!
Kids Giving Back is working with charities to identify needs of organisations and individuals. We have a range of groups with specific requirements. The opportunity exists for volunteers to collect from their pantries or purchase required items at their own expense and assemble a care pack. Volunteers then deliver to the nominated vulnerable person or organisation in need.
When you register with us we will provide a list of items requested by recipients and details of the location for your delivery. An example of items needed would be: Long life milk, Weet Bix, Pasta, Tinned food etc..
Ideally we need these deliveries completed within 10 days. No face-to-face contact with the recipient is expected, but cards and drawings from children are a wonderful and essential accompaniment to the care package!
Cost for Participant
1. Administrative fee - Paid at the time of registration
As you may appreciate, a great amount of time is required to organise the allocation of deliveries and hence we charge a small fee to cover this.
2. Cost of Care Pack/s - Participant purchases the required items from a shopping list they will receive once registered.
The approximate cost to assemble 1 Care Package ranges between $30 - $35. A suggestion: some people choose to fundraise to cover the costs of the care packages. Kids Giving Back does not reimburse for this cost.
