Seminar Description:
In this session, several participants will offer detailed clinical vignettes that we will explore in relation to a Depth perspective. Emphasis will be on the therapist’s attitude and stance in clinical process attending to the experiential moment in relation to change.
About the Speaker:
Jack Foehl is President of The Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute, where he is a Training and Supervising Analyst and is Supervisor and Faculty Member at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis. He is Instructor at Harvard Medical School and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Jack is Joint Editor-in-Chief of Psychoanalytic Dialogues and a past editorial board member of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis. Jack is author of numerous articles on contemporary perspectives in psychoanalytic theory of technique and new ways of thinking about psychoanalytic process. He is in private practice in Cambridge, MA, USA.
Clinical Presenter:
Michele Rousseau MCAP, has been working as a registered psychotherapist in private practice for 33 years in the inner west of Sydney. She is a founding member of the Australian Association of Somatic Psychotherapists (AASP, ASPA). She is also a graduate and faculty member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP). Other affiliations include membership of the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) and the International Association of Self Psychology (IASP).
