MZAZA at Eudlo Hall
Concert 7.30 to 9 pm (doors open 7pm)
Two-time Queensland Music Award winners MZAZA bring their stunning blend of folk to Eudlo Hall at last for a vocals workshop and evening concert. French-Sephardic vocalist Pauline Maudy leads this tight band of brilliant musicians to create a musical ride like none you’ve experienced before.
Songlines Magazine calls their third album, The Birth and Death of Stars, “a cross-genre cornucopia, a giver of gifts both aural and cerebral... A supernova of an album”. MZAZA’s harmonies, accordion, exotic strings, guitar, double bass and percussion will astound.
World vocals workshop 4.30 to 5.30 pm (Sorry - workshop fully booked as of 21 April)
Embark on a musical journey through the poetic and melodic world of Jewish-Spanish and French music and explore words in ancient languages. Born in France and of Sephardic heritage, lead singer Pauline Maudy will facilitate the afternoon vocal workshop for singers of all levels. You will be accompanied by MZAZA’s talented musicians on accordion, guitar, violin, double-bass and percussion.
