En Plein Air Workshop with Ross Laurie
En plein air is the act of painting outdoors in situ within the landscape. It can be a challenging and beautiful way of working that can enable the artist to better capture the changing details of weather and light. Many artists, including those featured in War and Peace work en plein air.
Using drawing materials and/or paints, develop your skills in capturing atmosphere, light and distance unique to working outdoors, led by artist Ross Laurie. Bring whatever you need to be comfortable e.g. chair, mat etc. NERAM will provide a selection of drawing materials, paper and boards but we encourage you to bring your own favourite materials to work with as well.
