THE MANY FACES OF JUDAISM
Diversity and argument have always been part of the canvas of Judaism, but a canvas, nevertheless, which was framed and unified by a common set of religious beliefs and assumptions. However, with the advent of modernity, that frame disappeared and the canvas of Judaism was characterised by fragmentation and debates about core Jewish beliefs and practices. In this course, we will examine how this manifested itself in the different versions and faces of Judaism during the course of the twentieth century.
