The User's Guide to the NSW Mental Health System introduces participants to the complexities of the NSW mental health system and provides basic knowledge to help one navigate it and be a better advocate for themselves and others. This course touches on mental health and the processes and systems that are in place to support people experiencing different degrees of mental health issues.

Be aware of how to seek basic mental health care and support
Have the knowledge of the steps of how to respond to escalating mental illenss situations
Be aware of your rights in mental health settings, relavent acts and how to make a complaint
Feel confident in navigating related mental health system processes and supports
Feel like you have appropriate knowledge and resources to help assist an individual in the mental health system.
