General Mandarin Classes Semester 1 - 2022
The Confucius Institute at The University of Western Australia teaches Mandarin and provides cultural training, working across community, education and business to increase mutual understanding and recognise the value of multiculturalism.
We are a partnership between UWA and Zhejiang University. We were the first Confucius Institute to be established in Australia, starting in 2005. We are located at UWA's historic Claremont campus.
When: Semester 1 Term 2 commences the week beginning Monday 25 April 2022. Classes run for 9 weeks until 24 June. Morning classes are held from 10 am to 12 noon. Evening classes are held from 6:30–8:30 pm.
Minimum enrolment numbers are required to run each class. A full refund will be made if the class cannot run due to low enrolments.
Where: Classes are held at the UWA Claremont campus.
Which level: Our class levels are Entry Level (new intake starts in Semester 2 in mid-July), Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Advanced Extension.

Pricing (18 Week Course): $700 Adults $660 Continuing students $630 Concession holders / UWA staff.
9 Week payment option: $385 Adults $365 Continuing students $345 Concession holders / UWA staff.
Teachers: Our teachers are native Chinese speakers and highly trained professionals.
Textbooks: All textbooks and learning resources are included in the first enrolment payment.
