Style Matters: A writing assessment and mentorship program - One-On-One Course
Want to improve your writing but don’t know where to start? The first step is to understand your weaknesses. We all have them, but identifying them is difficult, especially if you are still learning about narrative techniques and what makes good prose. It becomes infinitely easier if you can have someone experienced read your work and provide specific, personal feedback so you not only understand your weaknesses but also how to fix them. That’s what this course does. You will provide a sample of your writing and receive a line assessment and a report on the areas of most concern. This will be accompanied by specific learning materials to help you understand the stylistic issues prevalent to you and how to improve on them, as well as a video conference to discuss your work and writing style. You will then have the opportunity to revise and resubmit your writing sample to receive further feedback. This course is facilitated by Novalee Swan. With six books published, including an Amazon bestselling romance series, plus a PhD in written communication and seven years teaching creative writing at university, Novalee is highly experienced in helping writers shine.
