Step into the office with Australia’s foremost cinema organist Tony Fenelon. Experience the charm, magic and sublime power when Tony performs on Brisbane’s magnificent Christie Cinema Pipe Organ and player piano. Tony’s programme will feature a number of popular piano reproductions by Adam Carroll while accompanying them on the Chritsie. Adam Carroll was a wonderful pianist who recorded for the Ampico reproducing piano during the 1920s and 1930s. This programme will delight music lovers of all ages.
In 2014, Tony was inducted into the prestigious American Theatre Organ Society’s "Hall of Fame" recognising his contribution to this genre. This mesmerising music which once oozed from ornate cinema doors, now allows a glimpse back through time, into the jazzy, carefree nights of the golden age of cinema.
Complimentary drinks (wine and fruit punch) will be served from 1.15pm in the foyer along with tea & coffee (gold coin donation appreciated) during intermission.
