Other Ways to tell a Family Story
About
Writing a family history may be rather daunting for some of us. However, there are many other ways we can share our family history with family and friends. Presented by Genealogy SA this talk explores some of the different resources we can all use to inspire us; maps, objects, photographs, oral history, short stories and diaries.
Doreen is the convenor of the Genealogy SA Family History Writers Group. She is a keen family historian, and has found that genealogists are a valuable source of information about the social history of a place and fill in many of the gaps that cannot be found in the archaeological record. Preferring to ensure that this social history does not become lost, she will discuss some of the ways we can easily record it.
