Renmark: Strategies for Engaging Vulnerable Young People
About
Located in the Adelaide CBD, Specialised Assistance School for Youth (SASY) operates specifically for vulnerable and disengaged young people with an aim to reignite their interest in learning through holistic practices that focus on wellbeing. After requests from the sector and a desire to connect and learn with other like-minded people, SASY will be returning in 2022 to offer a calendar of exceptional professional development for staff working in the education and youth sector.
Coming to you regionally for the first time due to popular demand, this training is SASY's bread and butter; engaging vulnerable young people. This session will cover the importance of building positive connections and provide you with tools to assist you in engaging with vulnerable young people, both in and outside of the classroom. The session will include collaborative workshops and presentations from key SASY staff members who work with vulnerable and disengaged students daily.
Lunch and refreshments provided.
