Nyarrn-gakgo mangkie: Voices of First Nations Womxn
Nyarrn-gakgo mangkie brings a series of short film clips that capture the voices of First Nations' womxn as we journey in health, wellbeing and healing roles.
This will include a panel discussion with members of the project and afternoon tea with Murnong Mammas.
Join us for an afternoon of storytelling created to back First Nations young womxn journeying towards health, wellbeing and healing roles.
We’re excited to launch a series of short videos sharing the voices of Aunties, First Nations womxn working in health and First Nations young womxn on their journeys exploring health, wellbeing and healing pathways.
This event also welcomes guest speakers for a panel discussion to reflect on their journey and experience working towards and/or in health, wellbeing and healing careers since the videos were created.
Pay by donation if you can and as you feel. All funds raised go to Weenthunga Health Network, contributing to First Nations health equity in Victoria by backing First Nations led work.
Nyarrn-gakgo mangkie [knee-yarn guk go mang gee] in Woi Wurrung means “hear within”. Our space’s name, gifted to us by Wurundjeri Elder, Aunty Gail Smith, represents the journey undertaken within this space.
