ADFAS Perth - New insights into Guy Grey - Smith
Guy Grey-Smith is one of the most influential modernist artists to work in Western Australia. He has been the subject of a number of institutional surveys, and has had two Retrospectives mounted, in 1976 and 2014. In 2012, Andrew Gaynor published the first monograph on Grey Smith which met with wide critical acclaim. Since then, Gaynor has kept researching the artist and now presents a special lecture to the members of ADAFS Perth focussing on his discoveries and new insights gained since the book’s publication. Accompanied by an array of images, this lecture is a must for those seeking to understand the complexities of regional modernism, and for those who simply love Guy Grey-Smith’s art.
