Glen Eira City Council Yarning Circles 2023
Reconciliation Australia's Narragunnawali program has tools and resources to support schools and early learning services to contribute to the reconciliation movement. This session will explore the context and concept of reconciliation in Australia, with a focus on the important relationship between reconciliation and education. Participants will be encouraged to critically reflect on their current attitudes and actions towards reconciliation in education and to recognise the importance of ongoing personal and professional learning, unlearning and relearning processes. Drawing on the Narragunnawali Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) framework, and together with a walk and talk through the features and functions of the Narragunnawali online platform, the session will equip participants with foundational knowledge and skills required to understand how reconciliation can be respectfully embedded in the classroom, around school/early learning service environments, and with the community.
