Cyber Challenges Training for high-school-aged students and teachers who want to learn more about Capture the Flag competitions. Please have Try Hack Me, PicoCTF, CTFLearn, and Over the Wire accounts.
ECU's School of Science is proud to offer this workshop for high school-aged students/teachers interested in learning more about computing and security. Suitable for students with little to some knowledge of CTFs. Join us as we take you through the different fields of cyber security. Develop your ethical hacking and pen-testing (technical) skills using free open-source cyber tools to complete challenges. We will revise Linux before moving on to CTFLearn, PicoCTF22, Over The Wire.

9:00 - 10:00 - Workshop One – Learn to Linux - Try Hack Me
10:00 - Morning tea - please BYO
10:30 - 11:30 - Workshop Two – Open Source Tools, VM's, Azure Labs CTFLearn
11:30 - 12:30 - Workshop Three – PicoCTF training gym
12:30 - 1:00 - BYO Lunch - sit under the trees and enjoy the surroundings - we do ask that 'no feeding the ducks'!
1:00 - 2:00 - Workshop Four – Over The Wire
2:00 - 3:00 - Workshop Five – Friendly PECAN+CTF competition

BYO catering: water bottles, lunch, and snacks. There are also cafés and vending machines around campus that you can access
