About
This multidisciplinary workshop explores contemporary treatment approaches for Binge Eating Disorder (BED), highlighting key differences between traditional CBT-E and newer CBT-BED treatment protocols. Centred on the latest evidence-based CBT-BED framework, the training provides clinicians with practical strategies for adjusted formulation and treatment, including managing overeating and dysregulated eating, addressing reward-based eating and internalised weight bias, supporting sustainable movement, and setting realistic, client-centred goals.
The workshop also explores the intersection between eating disorder treatment and metabolic health, including working with individuals at higher body weight and navigating clinical obesity management alongside weight-neutral and Health At Every Size (HAES) approaches. Participants will build confidence in working with metabolic and endocrine comorbidities, integrating psychological and nutritional care, and facilitating collaborative conversations around client-expressed weight goals and adjunctive medical or pharmacological therapies.
