Layla Oueidat:
A third-culture counsellor based on Bunurong Land of the Kulin Nation and hold a Master of Counselling, as well as a diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD).
Whilst I currently run my own practice, previously, I’ve worked in an outpatient addiction clinic in Lebanon, as well as as a youth AOD counsellor in the public sector across Naarm/Melbourne.
My approach with substance use is evidence-based, and holds different elements of a person’s life in mind when understanding, supporting, and empowering them in their personal lives through trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive lenses.
