Student Choreography Day 2026

Student Choreography Day is one of our favourite events of the year, a special opportunity for students to create, express themselves and perform their own choreography on stage in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment.
Students may perform a Solo, Duo, or Trio routine in styles including Jazz, Lyrical or Hip Hop.
Leading up to the event, students will attend guided Rehearsal Sessions with Stummer Studio teachers to help build confidence, improve performance quality and prepare their routines for the stage.
Students submit their music idea at booking and wait for our approval before beginning choreography. Once music is confirmed, students create their own choreography at home. Rehearsal Sessions are for refining, coaching and stage preparation — not creating choreography from scratch.
On the day, students will perform at Doncaster Secondary College Theatre and receive feedback, medals and certificates celebrating their creativity and hard work.
Packages include:
• Event entry
• Guided Rehearsal Sessions
• Theatre performance experience
• Adjudicator feedback
• Medals & certificates
Rehearsal Session Dates:
• Saturday 18 July
• Saturday 25 July
• Saturday 1 August
• Saturday 8 August
Families will submit general Saturday availability during booking, with final session times allocated closer to the event.
Costume hire is available as an optional add-on at booking ($40). Alternatively students are welcome to wear their own appropriate costume.
Places are limited due to Rehearsal Session capacities.
