In Montessori mathematics, children explore the same concept through many different materials, building understanding from the ground up in ways that genuinely stay with them.
Multiplication is one of the most fascinating concepts in the Montessori mathematics curriculum, and when you see the extraordinary range of materials children use to explore it, the depth of their understanding starts to make a lot of sense. Because there’s a lot more to multiplication than times tables!
