The Nurture Temple's Butterfly Dreamer — Winter Series

Butterfly Dreamer is a 6 part series that entwines the wonders of nature with somatically led creative play programs that intend to support children to build capacity, enhance imagination, while fostering a deeper sense of connection with themselves, each other and the earth.

During this 6 week winter journey we will follow nature's greatest invitation — to slow down, go inward and discover the quiet magic of the winter season through the eyes of some of the most extraordinary animals on earth. We will also continue to grow and deepen what it means to be a Butterfly Dreamer!

Winter Series Inclusions

• Mindfulness activities to support children to come into the present and establish a greater sense of calm
• Acknowledgement of country in a child specific and meaningful way
• Storytelling, playful warmup and team building games to support children to find their way into connection with themselves and each other, in their own time and tempo
• Teachings on Mother Nature's winter ways through dance, creative art and play
• Creative sharing circle

Learning and Development

These classes have been especially designed to support children to learn and grow through Mother Nature's ways, providing them with lifelong resources and tools to support them to:

• Develop healthy relationships (in their own time and tempo) with themselves, each other and the earth
• Regulate their emotions and find a deeper sense of calm as they move throughout the day
• Connect to their authentic self through the wisdom of their own body
• Build capacity and develop a deeper understanding of themselves through their own sensory system
• Enhance imagination and creative expression
• Develop their balance, coordination and own sense of rhythm
• Nurture their own unique gifts and celebrate others along the way
• Have fun and connect with friends!

Butterfly Dreamer Winter Term Class Details

Date: Every Wednesday from 22 July until 26 August 2026
Time: 3.45pm — 5.00pm (children will be escorted to the wellness space)
Location: Elwood Primary Wellness Space
