Implementing the Trinity Smartphone Delay
Following the School's announcement of a new community standard delaying smartphone use for students in Pre-Kindergarten to Year 8, Trinity Grammar School invites parents and carers to attend a special information evening exploring the research, rationale, and practical steps behind this initiative.
This session will provide families with an opportunity to better understand the benefits of delaying smartphone use and how, as a community, we can work together to support the wellbeing, development, and social connection of our young people.
During the session, parents will gain:
*An understanding of the developmental and cultural case for delaying smartphone use
*Insights into how community-wide action reduces social pressure on children
*Guidance on establishing healthy digital boundaries at home
*Practical strategies for navigating the transition with confidence
*Information about the resources and support Trinity will provide to families
This evening is designed to empower parents with both the 'why' and the 'how' of this important change.
Guest Speaker - Greg Attwells
Greg Attwells is the Managing Director of 36 Months and a globally recognised leader in cultural and social impact initiatives.
Greg led the pioneering 36 Months campaign, a world-first movement that successfully advocated for raising the minimum age for social media access from 13 to 16. His work sits at the intersection of education, policy, and cultural change, helping communities respond thoughtfully to emerging evidence about the wellbeing of young people.
With extensive experience leading large-scale change initiatives, Greg works with schools, governments, and organisations to turn awareness into action, providing practical pathways for families and communities to navigate complex social challenges.

Visitors accessing the Trinity Grammar School Car Park via Victoria Street, Ashfield,
should enter through Gate 2 and proceed to the Sports Centre via the Junior School Link.
Who Should Attend
All parents and carers of students in Years 7, 2026 and Year 7, 2027 are strongly encouraged to attend. Places are limited and this is expected to be a popular event. Please reserve your seat by Thursday, 20 August to secure your attendance.
