About
A foray into a new genre of writing, Jacqui Triffitt has drawn inspiration from a life that has dished out moments, opportunities and people that have challenged, amazed and inspired, and most importantly captured her imagination.
Jacqui is the author of two books: On the Front Foot: The Rise of Tasmanian Women’s Cricket and Back in the Driver’s Seat: Understanding, Challenging and Managing the Fear of Driving. She has a doctorate in clinical psychology and previously worked in private practice.
Jacqui will be in conversation with Anne Kellas. Anne's writing has appeared in a wide variety of anthologies and journals in Australia and elsewhere, and her work has appeared in the shortlists and longlists for prizes such as the Bruce Dawe National Poetry Prize, the ACU Prize for Poetry and the inaugural Liquid Amber Poetry Prize. Kellas’ first collection won the People’s choice award for poetry in the 2025 Tasmanian Literary awards, and was also shortlisted for the Tim Thorne prize. Her 2015 collection, The White Room Poems, was shortlisted in the 2017 Tasmanian Premier’s Literary Prizes.
