Some places in Rome you feel you already know: from photographs, from films, from a lifetime of images. This walk is about seeing them for the first time.
We start at Piazza Colonna and step straight into Palazzo Doria Pamphilj: one of the largest private art collections in Rome, still owned by the same family after five centuries. Velázquez, Caravaggio, Titian in rooms that have never been sold, never been moved, never been turned into a museum. Intimate, extraordinary, and unlike anything else in the city.
From there, the Pantheon: nearly two thousand years old, still standing, still breathtaking. Your host will tell you things about it that the crowds around you don't know.
