1-day Harness Workshop $320

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll craft your very own leather bulldog harness. Whether it's for fashion, festivals or play, you'll leave with a custom-fitted harness and the skills to make more!

We'll teach you how to:

• Select and cut leather
• Burnish and finish edges
• Set buckles, rivets and eyelets
• Work confidently with professional leatherworking tools and materials from the Leffler range

Supply lists are available so you can carry on harness-making to your heart’s content.

Select from sturdy yet comfortable 3mm veg tan leather from the Leffler range.

Leather colours (subject to availability)

• Black
• Dark Brown
• Whiskey
• Red
• Navy
• Dark Green

Choose nickel or brass hardware, with stainless steel available on request.

Feeling extra? Add spikes, chains, or other hardware during the workshop (time permitting).

Every harness is custom-sized.

Prefer not to use leather? Biothane vegan harnesses are also available in a huge range of vibrant colours.

No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and your creativity.

Your tutor is Lou Clifton of Shoe School. With more than a decade of experience teaching shoemaking workshops across New Zealand and Australia, Lou brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise. She has also worked as a leatherworker for the iconic Melbourne business Lucrezia & De Sade.

Classes are held 9-3pm. Doors at 8:45am.

Tea, coffee and light refreshments are provided. We have a fridge and a kettle. Bring your own luch or you can purchase a delicious banh mi or rice paper rolls (GF) on the day for $10.
Free onsite parking.
Classes are limited to x3 students. Ages 16+
