About
Welcome to Play Club at The Common - a cosy, rustic space where imagination, creativity, and connection come to life.
Our two-hour sessions are all about open-ended, child-led play. There are no structured activities or set expectations - just plenty of opportunities for little ones to explore, create, imagine, pretend, and follow their own interests. We believe the best play happens when children lead the way.
Parents and caregivers are invited to join in the fun, connect with other families, or simply sit and enjoy some breathing time. Peggy the Coffee Van is located just outside so you can also conveniently grab your favourite drink.
To keep the sessions calm and enjoyable, numbers are capped so children have plenty of space to play and explore.
A few things to know before you come:
- Best suited to children aged 1–5 years.
- Babies under 12 months attend free with a paying sibling.
- Parking is available along Darling Street.
- Pram parking is available inside the venue.
- Toilets are located just outside the building.
- Please keep shoes on and dress warmly—we have heaters, but The Common is a beautiful old factory and can still feel cool in winter.
- Feel free to bring a small snack and a water bottle if needed.
- Parents and caregivers remain responsible for supervising their children throughout the session.
So come as you are, slow down, and let your little one’s imagination lead the way.
