Young Engineers Spring Holiday Camps
About
Full Day 9:00am – 3:30pm | Multiple Locations
These school holidays, let your child step into a world of creativity, problem-solving and discovery, building motorised LEGO® machines that really work.
At Young Engineers Holiday Camp, kids don't just play with LEGO®, they engineer with it. They'll design and build motorised machines from the ground up, then uncover the real science holding them together: structural stability, force distribution, and the mechanical advantage hiding inside every gear, pulley and lever.
From machines that lift and move to structures that hold under pressure, every project pushes kids to think like real engineers, while having loads of fun with their friends. They'll design, test what they've made, and rebuild it better, because that's exactly what engineers do.
It's the kind of holiday activity that keeps young minds genuinely active and engaged during the break and sparks a love of STEM that lasts well beyond it.
Just 15 spots per venue. Book your place today and let the building begin!

CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION
We're running one camp day at each venue in the first week of the September holidays. The same program runs at each camp, simply pick the day and location that suits your family.
📍 Caboolture 📅 Tuesday 22nd September 2026 | Learning and Business Centre at the Caboolture HUB (Meeting Room 3A & 3B), 4 Hasking St, Caboolture QLD 4510
📍 Albany Creek 📅 Wednesday 23rd September 2026 | Albany Creek Community Centre (Junior Room), 15 Ernie Street Albany Creek Queensland 4035
📍 North Lakes 📅 Thursday 24th September 2026 | North Lakes State College (Terrace 2 building), Joyner Circuit, North Lakes QLD 4509
WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY
🧠 Learn engineering concepts through fun stories, demos and real-world examples. Gears, levers, pulleys, motors and what makes a structure stand up
🧱 Build three motorised LEGO® models across the day
🏁 Experiment through team games and guided challenges, testing and tweaking as they go
🔧 Create in free-build time, pushing a design further to solve a bigger problem their own way
🎉 Share and celebrate what they've built and take home a certificate listing the engineering concepts they've mastered
PARENTS ARE INVITED FROM 3PM
Don't just collect your child, come and see what they made.
From 3:00pm the room becomes a showcase. Your child will walk you through their machines, show you how they work, and explain the engineering behind them. It's our favourite half hour of the day, and it's usually the moment parents realise how much their child has picked up.
Things to bring: Water bottle, lunch, morning tea and afternoon snack
Timing: Drop off from 8:45am. Parents are invited to visit from 3:00pm
Our educators: All instructors hold a current Queensland Blue Card
Does my child need any experience? None at all. Everything is taught from scratch, and students are grouped by age and ability so the pace suits them
Is the program different at each location? No, it's the same program at all three venues.
Can my child be grouped with a friend or sibling? Where ages allow, yes, let us know when you register
Cancellation policy: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the camp date receive a full refund; within 7 days, fees are non-refundable, though you're welcome to request a transfer to another camp date or to another child

ABOUT YOUNG ENGINEERS
Young Engineers runs hands-on STEM programs that spark a love of learning through play. Our educators bring lessons to life with stories, real experiments and thoughtfully designed challenges that keep children engaged from start to finish
Through guided projects, children build motorised LEGO® prototypes of historical, modern and functional machines, picking up real-world maths, physics and engineering fundamentals along the way. But just as importantly, they build the human skills that machines can't replace: resilience when a design fails, curiosity to keep exploring, and the critical thinking to work out why something didn't go to plan. In a world being reshaped by AI, these are the skills that will matter most, and they're best learned early, through play.
We believe today's young engineers are tomorrow's creators, innovators and problem-solvers.
