Watercolour Portrait Workshop with Donna Chess (SOLD OUT)

About
Donna will guide participants through the different layers and stages of painting a child’s portrait in watercolour. We’ll all use the same reference photo and instruction will be step by step, working towards giving you the confidence to paint watercolour portraits of the children in your life.
Please note- this workshop is more suitable for people who have had some experience with watercolours.
Materials Required:
Pencil
Kneaded eraser
A cloth or sponge for wiping your brushes
Good quality watercolour paper- A4 to 1/4 sheet, taped or stretched onto a board.
Acceptable Paper- 300 gram Cold Pressed- Saunders Waterford, Aches/ Aquerelle, Boahung
(Master’s Choice), Fabriano, or paper of similar quality
A bit of scrap watercolour paper for testing colours
These are the colours that I mainly use in Winsor Newton or Cotman’s:
Lemon Yellow
Cadmium Orange
Cadmium Red Hue
Alizarin Crimson
Cerulean Blue
Cobalt Blue
Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Sienna
OptionalPermanent Rose
Mauve
BrushesBring whatever brushes you have
I use -
1 inch flat
1/2 inch flat
8 round silver brush black velvet
4 round “
2 round. “
And a small stiffer synthetic brush
