LIIT ALBUM LAUNCH

Trumpeter Niran Dasika, guitarist Lawrence Folvig and drummer Kyrie Anderson don’t arrive with a fixed setlist. Instead, every performance is created in real time, layering evolving textures and unexpected rhythms into hypnotic soundscapes and inviting audiences into a creative space that is both performance and process.

‘…the impact was nothing short of visionary. The guitar hummed and sang like some natural phenomenon, while Anderson was endlessly inventive both texturally and rhythmically, and the trumpet cried out its songs of quiet desperation. In its conceptual scope, this was not a trio, but a three-piece orchestra.’ – Sydney Morning Herald

Melbourne-based trio LIIT blends contemporary jazz with multi-layered electronic soundscapes, shaping each performance through improvisation. Featuring Niran Dasika (trumpet, electronics), Lawrence Folvig (guitar, electronics), and Kyrie Anderson (drums), the group brings together a formidable list of individual accolades.

LIIT had a breakout year in 2025, appearing at the Clarence Jazz Festival, releasing their debut EP Obscura, and completing a creative residency in Banff, Canada. 2026 will see the release of their highly anticipated debut album. With their performances ranging from minimalist, spacious meditations to lyrical song-like progressions, each piece tells a story that highlights the trio’s tonal virtuosity and expertise in genres spanning jazz, pop, rock and electronic.
