Placement Day 2027 💙

Placement Day is our way of building next year's competition teams for 2027!

This is not an audition — this year we're moving away from auditions and hosting placements instead, which means every dancer who attends will be offered a place on a team.**

How We Form Teams

We've found that the strongest teams aren't defined by age — they're built on how dancers fit together, with each dancer playing a role that complements the rest of the group. This new approach lets us build teams around that sense of fit and role, giving every dancer a team identity they can feel proud of, rather than just a label like 'Under 10s.' We'll still keep age in mind as part of the bigger picture, so you won't see our littlest dancers placed alongside our older ones — it's simply about finding the right team fit for your child.

What to Expect on the Day

Each session will run through a warm up, stretch, skills, a jazz or lyrical combination and a hip hop combination. This gives us the chance to see your dancer across a range of styles, so we can place them thoughtfully — including onto our competition teams and our hip hop crews.

Session Times

We're age blocking Placement Day itself, just to help the flow of the day.

Age is based on your dancer's age as of 1 January 2027:

What to wear/bring:

• Normal class uniform
• Water bottle
• Sneakers
• Jazz shoes & lyrical shoes (if you have them)

What Happens After Placement Day

Team placements can take up to two weeks to finalise. During this time, you'll receive an email letting you know your dancer has been accepted onto a team, along with an invitation to an acceptance interview/meeting where we'll go through all the details — including confirming class days and times.

**Placement is offered on the condition that the dancer has shown commitment to the studio and has no outstanding fees. Families will then need to accept their spot and sign the competitive dancer contract to confirm their place on the team.
