About the Presenter: Robyn Hanssen has worked as an occupational therapist for over 15 years in a range of clinical settings including rehabilitation, aged care and disability. Robyn currently works as a sole trader and has been working with NDIS participants since 2019. Robyn predominantly works with people with cognitive disabilities completing Functional Capacity Assessments, SIL assessments and providing therapy related to participants goals. Robyn is also the mother of a child with a disability, who is an NDIS participant. She recently went to the AAT to challenge a decision made by the NDIA regarding reasonable and necessary supports for her child. This enabled her the opportunity to gain an understanding of the process involved in challenging decisions made by the NDIA, experience providing evidence and observing a range of professionals providing evidence at a hearing.
