Thrivable Melbourne Forum

Thrivability (n): prosperous and growing; flourishing.
the conditions which enable and nurture the greatest capacity for thriving of living systems, and for all participants. Thrivability includes the 4 domains of need: Survive, Sustain, Resilience, Thriving.

“A strategist, a practitioner and a comedian walk into a forum…”

In order to thrive at its greatest capacity, how does the city of today create a compelling tomorrow?

Join a comedian, expert panelists & community knowledge holders, for a diverse and entertaining forum. Participate in interactive sessions exploring thrivable futures for education, community/governance and business. Bring charged mobile devices.

Our cultural stories, embedded with patterns, protocols and assumptions, can limit us from seeing the full possibilities around us, and the actions available to us. If we set Thrivability as our compass point, how would we need to adapt what we do today, tomorrow, and our plans for the future?

Join us for an entertaining, pattern breaking journey. Using a diverse and eclectic range of perspectives, we will illustrate ideas that break conventions. Yet this is not just an ‘Edge’ event… the core focus is to ground very practical applications, and level up our best practices in the here-now.

  • Skype session with world-renowned author and thought leader, Jean Russell.
  • Panel discussions with experts from the fields of education, community and governance, and business.
  • Interactive sessions will anchor new knowledge and perspectives into readily actionable next steps – please bring (fully charged) smart phones and mobile devices.

This event is presented by the Change Agents at Positive Handprints, as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week 2014.
