NPCO with The Consort of Melbourne

Bridging Traditions Concert Series

The third and final concert in the New Palm Court Orchestra's Bridging Traditions 2015 Concert Series features special guests, chamber choir The Consort of Melbourne for a magical evening on Thursday 10th September at Deakin Edge, Fed Square.

Fresh from their début appearance with The Rolling Stones last November for the hit song You Can’t Always Get What You Want, the Consort of Melbourne are effortlessly at ease singing music as diverse as Rachmaninov, Renaissance and jazz and rock.

This concert features a myriad of music from the renaissance through to the present day including compositions by NPCO Artistic Director, pianist and composer Gemma Turvey, a stirring rendition of Welsh folk anthem Myfanwy and a rarely performed arrangement of Ennio Morricone’s music for the cinema classic, The Mission.

" would be well advised to keep their nights free for the Consort's future events." Clive O'Connell, The Age Newspaper
