In 2014 China overtook the United States as the world’s largest economic power when measured in real purchasing-power terms. China now aims to achieve more balanced economic growth and develop its technology and service sectors. As China progresses on its economic development journey, Australian businesses will have to be adaptable to its changing demands. This briefing and panel discussion will explore what is happening in China to assist your businesses in developing better strategies. Hear from our experts about:
- Key economic trends in China and impact on Australian export sectors including resources and agriculture
- Investment trends - where Chinese investors will be looking to invest
- Latest business intelligence on the ground from AustCham in China.
- Directions for China’s next Five-Year Plan (2016-2020). The Five Year plan is a strategic plan that sets the social and economic goals for the country. It has implications for businesses, and an understanding of the Plan is beneficial for any company doing business with China.
