Doing Business with China Online

Chinese eCommerce transactions are projected to hit USD 540 billion in 2015. While this holds great potential for Australian companies, China comes with a unique set of technical considerations for operating online that can be difficult for companies outside of the country to navigate.

ACBC Victoria is pleased to invite you our luncheon seminar, focused on doing business with China online, with guest speaker Mr Robbie Burns, General Manager, China Sales Co.

Robbie Burns will focus on benefits, pitfalls and what you need to consider when setting up an on-line platform to do business in or with China. He will cover the 5 steps for e-commerce in China’ and the roles of popular Chinese platforms Baidu, Weibo, WeChat, Alibaba and Alipay for your online business. Robbie will highlight ‘the China barriers and the doorways’ involved for promoting, selling and exporting directly 'Business to Consumer' from Australia.

Robbie Burns is in his twelfth year of sales and marketing in China. He previously excelled in sales for NASDAQ firms in the EU before moving to Shanghai in 2005 and focusing on Youth Marketing. He was then involved in the very successful Youth Marketing Agency "PRCOOL The People's Republic of Cool" with many events and interviews shown on China national CCTV and SMG. He is well regarded in China and globally as a China Sports and Youth Marketing expert. In 2013 Robbie also founded China Sales Co., a virtual live Chinese sales and support agency based in Shanghai.
