Advanced Ulysses Course 2016

Description

This intensive course, extravagantly named 'Melodiotiosities in Pure Effusion: Avant-gardism in James Joyce's Ulysses', will run from 12 noon-6.30pm, on Saturday 30 April 2016, at the Celtic Club. It will examine some of the more challenging chapters of 'Ulysses' (Cyclops, Ithaca, Circe and Nausicaa) in great detail, aiming to demystify the modernist masterpiece of the c20. It will be presented by Dr. Frances Devlin-Glass who is committed to the notion that this challenging novel has pleasures for everyone.

There will be a break for afternoon tea.
