WHAT: 


The course gives an accessible, yet comprehensive, introduction to the laws of war. It covers the history of IHL, the development and essential content of the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, the role of the International Committee of the Red Cross in times of armed conflict, Red Cross' Fundamental Principles, the protective emblems, how the military applies the law and the mechanisms available when the law is breached.
