Colour Society March 2016 Event

Colour Society of Australia, NSW March 2016 event:

Classics and Curiosities of Colour

Tuesday March 22, 2016, 6.30 to 7.30 and 7.30 to 8.30 pm

The International Colour Association has nominated March 21 as "International Colour Day". To mark the occasion the NSW Division of the Colour Society of Australia is presenting Classics and Curiosities of Colour, an exhibit of facsimile diagrams and some scarce original books marking the history of our understanding and use of colour. The exhibit will provide a rare opportunity to view many classic or unusual colour works together in one room, and will be accompanied by detailed signage that should make it an educational experience for every visitor.

Please note carefully that the correct date for our event is Tuesday the 22nd of March and that for a number of logistical reasons the event could not be held on International Colour Day itself [the 21st].

Many of the works on display have considerable aesthetic appeal in addition to their historical importance, as can be seen from our short promotional video on YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-KgICbe4hk.
