QPW: Speak up! Powerful Use of Voice

Description

SPEAK OUT!

We speak who we are. The Latin word persona means ‘through sound’

Adults learn to shrink the voice to the size of their living room, (kids don’t have that problem.) Most people find that when they tap into the unused power of their voice, it quickly unleashes blocked areas of their personal power, with flow-on effects such as quitting an unhealthy job, negotiating a raise, or speaking up for what they believe in.

You will learn techniques to help you:

  • Be able to stand fearlessly in front of any audience
  • To manage the inner judge, critic and censor
  • To relax into and project your authentic voice
  • Pull yourself out of performance anxiety
  • To anchor yourself in the moment and help you think on your feet
  • Take the pain out of networking

Please join us with Richard Lawton, master voice coach. These are some of what his clients say about his work:

“On the Reader’s Course we really value the contribution of someone who brings a really practical application to the development of voice and body language. Richard has been working with us since October 2012, and in that time has helped many of our barristers develop these essential skills in order to communicate effectively.”

Jacqueline Stone: Victorian Bar Assoc., Reader’s Course

“Richard managed to persuade a fairly sceptical group of participants to step out of their comfort zone, which increased their confidence levels. An unusual and valuable component was his providing each of them with insightful, individual, real-time feedback, which they were able to implement immediately.”
Laura Grant: Graduate Resourcing Consultant: Lander & Rogers

“Richard is a dynamic, inspiring and passionate teacher. People who work with him, and are taught by him, are very fortunate indeed.”

Professor P.S.Monash University
