Boite Singers' Festival 2017
Formerly held in Daylesford, in 2017 we are excited to bring The Boite Singers' Festival to Melbourne at the Abbotsford Convent. The festival is a celebration of the world of voice. Artists from around the world converge on Abbotsford to lead and take part in workshops, concerts and forums.
Singing is used as the binding force to bring together diverse cultural traditions. Unique vocal sounds and qualities are explored in a meaningful way as participants learn to sing in a number of foreign languages and unfamiliar styles, discovering new perspectives and deeper understandings.
Workshops are open to all levels of ability and experience. Choirs annually enrol in the festival and perform in the choir concert, and can receive a discount for groups of 10 or more. Click here to print or download the Choir/Group registration form.
Teachers and vocal leaders participate in forums and events for educators. A stream for songwriters takes place all weekend and ends with a songwriter’s blackboard concert.
There are a variety of concert ticket options including Weekend passes, group bookings, day passes, concert tickets and workshop tickets.
We're thrilled to announce that for our Friday "A Day With" Workshops you can choose between
Su Hart, sharing her songs of the Baka Pygmies;
Andrew Legg, Tasmania's Gospel genius;
Jane Thompson and James Rigby, the heart and soul of Victoria's singing community.
Please note that online sales close at 3PM on Thursday 12 January. Tickets can still be purchased at the door after this time.
