Perth Symphony plays The Snowman 2016

Perth Symphony brings the magic of Christmas alive with their performance of Raymond Briggs’ famous book – The Snowman. This beautiful animated film depicts the story of the adventures of a young boy who builds a Snowman on the night before Christmas.
The orchestral score, by Howard Blake, will be performed live in concert by Perth Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack includes the song ‘Walking in the Air’ made famous by Aled Jones.

This story is a well known Christmas classic, with the original book selling over 8.5 million copies worldwide.

The concert will include a delightful introduction to the orchestra - hosted by Chief Conductor – Jessica Gethin, and some Christmas surprises, including a visit from Darth Vader and Elsa from Frozen!

We invite you to bring an afternoon picnic to the grassy grounds of Scotch College before joining us in The Dickinson Centre, which will be transformed into a winter wonderland.
