From Melbourne to Memphis, Geoff Achison has thrilled audiences with his dynamic blues playing, catchy originals and gutsy solo arrangements which range from James Brown to The Beatles, from Stevie Wonder to Ben Harper.
After many years living and touring in America’s deep south, Geoff is back with a stack of tunes and delighting audiences with his latest musical project ‘Another Mile, Another Minute’.
An accomplished instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, Geoff treats his guitar like an orchestra creating rich, sweeping chords cascading arpeggios, and irresistibly funky grooves.
Geoff will bring his beloved, road worn acoustic guitars to The Old Castlemaine Goal on Saturday 3rd December performing and chatting about his music, his album and much, much more.
Opening the show is Macedon Ranges acoustic artist Jarrod Shaw, a self-taught blues and roots musician with a unique guitar style. Jarrod mixes blues, folk and pop into his repertoire and has often been described as having a voice that belies his years.
A unique chance to sit back and let the world melt away with one of Australia’s great blues and soul artist, and one of Australia’s rising stars.
