TryBooking - Permaculture Drinks

Practice your social permaculture skills and hear from some inspired and inspiring practitioners while drinking beers (or wine or soft drink) and meeting new friends.

$10 full price / $8 CERES and SLF Members

  • (Entry fees go towards cost of presenters).

Get in early from 6pm and order your delicious organic mushroom or chicken sliders from the kitchen (vegan and gluten free options available). Orders finish when proceedings begin at 7pm but drinks will continue to the end of the evening.

Presenter Bios

JUSTIN CALVERLEY
Justin has lived and breathed horticulture for over 20 years and is the main presenter for CERES' popular Complete Urban Farmer course. He is renowned for his passion and knowledge which has made him a highly sort after Consultant, Designer and Educator. Justin has inspired many through his presentations for community groups and councils, he has also been a guest presenter on numerous television and radio shows. You might know him from years presenting on 3RRR gardening program "Dirty Deeds". He has just written his first book, The Urban Farmer.

KAT LAVERS
Kat Lavers is a passionate gardener, permaculture designer, trainer and facilitator. She has a breadth of training experience that spans a decade and includes local residents, primary and secondary kids, university lecturers, government staff, Karen refugees and even Mongolian nomadic herders. Her award-winning house and garden, 'The Plummery', is a 1/14th of an acre urban permaculture system that produces almost all the vegies, herbs, fruit and eggs consumed (more than 350kg in 2016), as well as recycling all organic waste on site and harvesting the majority of power and water used by the household. She currently manages the My Smart Garden sustainable gardening education program for Hobsons Bay City Council, and is a sought after freelance presenter. Kat is also a volunteer coordinator of Permablitz Melbourne.
