2017 Autism - Advances in Early Detection

Description

Dr Josephine Barbaro is employed by La Trobe University, Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) and is a leader in early detection research.  Her ground breaking work to identify behavioral 'red flags' in young children is used around the world to diagnose babies as young as 12 months.  
An estimated 1 in 100 children have an autism spectrum disorder.  The majority are not diagnosed until they are 4 y.o more than 2 years after they can be reliably diagnosed.
