Arts Access Australia - Meeting Place 2017

- MP 2017 will be co-hosted by PIAF & AAA with DADAAWA on March 2. We are dedicated to broadening understanding & improving skills & access in the field of disability & the arts. The event supports cultural exchange between outstanding national & international artists with disability & the WA arts & disability community. MP provides a platform for learning, discussion & debate on issues impacting artists, arts workers & leaders with disability & those with an interest in the sector.
- On Thursday 2 March 2017 - registration from 9am, finishing at 5pm
Program highlights include:
- Keynote address by Jenny Sealey OBE, Director of Graeae Theatre Company in the UK.
- A series of panel presentations on topics such as the arts and mental health, formal training pathways for people with disability in the arts and a conversation about the impact of the National Disability Insurance Scheme on arts participation by people with disability.
- A showcase pitching eight high-quality artists with disability to presenters, programmers and producers.
