"Brexit, Trump & the Trade Challenge" breakfast 30 Mar 2017

Rt. Hon. Peter Lilley, a former trade secretary in Margaret Thatcher's government, will be the guest of honour at MRC's next breakfast briefing in Sydney.   

Mr Lilley, a current member of the House of Commons, will be speaking on the topic Brexit, Trump and the Trade Challenge 

At a time of flux and uncertainty in US and European politics, there has never been a more important time to discuss what this all means for Australian trade. An Exiting the European Union Select Committee member, Mr Lilley will offer an articulate, international perspective on these events' impact upon Australia‚Äôs trade deals and relationships with Britain and the US, what our government should do and how we can better protect ourselves from global forces.

Mr Lilley will be joined by Janet Albrechtsen, columnist for The Australian and Nick Cater, Executive Director at the Menzies Research Centre.
